chroma Key
Chroma key compositing, or chroma keying, is a special effects / post-production technique for compositing (layering) two images or video streams together, used heavily in many fields to remove a background from the subject of a photo or video - particularly the newscasting, motion picture and videogame industries. A color range in the top layer is made transparent, revealing another image behind. The chroma keying technique is commonly used in video production and post-production.

Evaluation For Photo
For this task i was asked to produce a series of photo's to feature in a magazine or newspaper of my choice. i first decided that i wanted my photo's to have a vintage theme, i done some online research on some of my favourite magazines such as Vogue, Cosmo, Glamour ect. in these magazines they usually have a section of vintage hair and make up tutorials along with vintage clothing.
I selected a few photo's of the internet of what i wanted to imitate.
I choose to give my idea the name 'vintage fashion', the magazine i had chosen was cosmo its mainly aimed around females aged 13 to 35 and is very popular.
This task i personally found very challenging as i picked to have a vintage theme, seeing as its 2012 i dont own anything very much vintage. i used my imagination and found things around the house for props (i.e vinyls) and picked out some clothes.
The scene was set in my room and i worked with the space i had.
I done some more research on hairstyles and make up from the 40's, i did my own make up and hair to the best i could to give a vintage look.
When i finished taking my photo's i edited them on a program called 'Paintshop ProX' using a number of effects including sepia and B & W effect.
I think my shoot went really well as i came out with some good photo's. It could have been improved by having more then one location with more space, more props and different lighting.
